Happy Seven Months!!!

wyatt is growing up so fast it just amazes me! He is such a big boy now! Here he is giving kisses to his cousin.He is already to go to church. Hair combed and all! (One of daddy's favorite things to do!)
He is pulling himself up on things all by himself now! I just cannot believe this! He managed to get under this chair and pull himself up inside all by himself. He is really enjoying this ability!
He started crawling last Sunday early morning with daddy. I knew this was coming and still have not completely child proofed our house! He is loving this ability and has already gotten better and faster since then!
Going to the park near our house is one of our favorite things to do. On a good weather day, a fussy baby day, or a grumpy momma day this calms our souls! We lay out a blanket, in our favorite spot, in the shade of two big trees.
He is still getting used to the feel of the grass and will probably be running through it here shortly!

Loving me for me!

I am a girl who makes excuses for being the person that I am, thinking that one day maybe I will be different. I am a girl that is learning to let go of these excuses and realize that this is the person that I am… acceptance or not. After having a conversation with my sister, I am a girl who is inspired to learn about me, by writing a little of me out on paper.

I am a girl who has discovered that my house will never be sparkling clean… maybe not even clean, and am learning to be ok with that. I am a girl who has lost my depth to feel and converse… and want to get it back. I am a girl who has tasted that lost depth by having beautiful, inspiring, uplifting, and meaningful conversations with my sisters. I am a girl who loves knowledge and believes that I am shorting myself, and those that need me if I don’t have that power. I am a girl who is afraid that I am not smart enough for my son. I am a girl who is not the best speller in the world and am very self-conscious of this. I am a girl who does not want to lose my career but is afraid to go back.

I am a girl who absolutely loves Chick-fil-A and spent the night in the parking lot to receive a box of free coupons for a year. I am a girl who strives to be better to the earth, but am transitioning very slow. I am a girl who loves to be inspired! I am a girl who admires my family and friends for all of their uniqueness. I am a girl who just realized that mailpersons drive on the right side of their vehicle. I am a girl who loves to drive with my music blaring and the windows down. I am a girl who loves music that pulls at my heart and hits me deep. I am a girl who my never be completely organized…. But has advanced in the last couple of years. I am a girl who admires a woman who manages to put herself together every morning but realizes this will never be me!

I am a girl whose worst nightmare would be my family moving away. I am a girl who feels with all my heart but can’t always find the words to express those feelings. I am a girl who absolutely adores my son and can’t imagine life without him. I am a girl who is slightly germaphobic but learning to lighten up. I am a girl who has always loved to travel but has found that my favorite place is home. I am a girl who believes that I can do anything that I set my mind to doing. I am a girl who respects the friendships that I have but have a fear of not being enough for those people. I am a girl who has never, never, never liked lettuce! I am a girl who will always have a messy car and will always feel the need to apologize. I am a girl who is in love with my husband and extremely happy with our life together. I am a girl who does not always stand up for myself and am learning to be better. I am a girl who is learning I am ME.

Because today is Poem in Your Pocket Day!!!

Little Eyes

There are little eyes upon you
And they're watching night and day.
There are little ears that quickly
Take in every word you say.
There are little hands all eager
To do anything you do;
And a little boy who's dreaming
Of the day he'll be like you.

You're the little angel's idol;
You're the wisest of the wise.
In his little mind about you
No suspicions ever rise.
He believes in you devoutly,
Holds all you say and do;
He will say and do, in your way
When he's grown up just like you.

There's a wide-eyed little boy
Who believes you're always right;
And his eyes are always open,
And he watches day and night.
You are setting an example
Every day in all you do;
For the little boy who's waiting
To grow up to be like you.

Cool Dudes in their Easter shades!

Brody in his cool sunglasses and pretty necklaces! :)
Wyatt loves his sunglasses! I will put them on when we go outside and he smiles. He keeps them on in the car where ever we go! When we go on walks outside in the stroller, he keeps them on the entire time! I take him to the park and set him on a blanket in the shade and take his glasses off, he then looks at me like "Why did you take them off mommy?" As soon as we get back into the stroller the sunglasses go on and so does his smile!

Having fun at the river

Last week Wyatt and I went to the Salt River with Jessie and her kiddos, and Alyson and her kiddos. Wyatt loved to sit by the edge of the river with his little feet in the cool river. He got to wear his new swim trunks and swim shirt that his grandma and grandpa gave him for easter.
He found rocks and mud to put in his mouth. He got a little upset when I would take the little pebbles out of his hand! I had to replace them with a bigger rock that he could not slip down his throat!
Wanting to be just like his big cousin eating a yummy sandwich! Thanks for getting us out to the river it was a great day!
