Wyatt Loves to suck his thumb and his fingers! He does a really good job of finding them and then slobbering all over them.
He is starting to play with toys now! I feel like I am lagging behind because he is growing up so fast. I put these toys in front of him and he concentrates so hard and pulls them to his mouth. The little duck in this picture is his favorite toy. I will give him other toys to play with but when I put this in front of him this is his prize to be won. He reminds me of those games with the stuffed animals and the claw that reaches for them. Just like the game, he gets so close to putting the toy in his mouth and right before it gets there it drops. He gets a little frustrated at times but he is learning fast.
He is liking laying on the floor more and more. He has rolled from his back to his tummy two times and I have managed to miss both of them. Cory was with him for the first roll and he was at nonnie and papas house for the second time while I was out getting food. One day I will see it!
I love this picture of wyatt and daddy hanging out watching football. Saturday and Sunday mornings cory gets up early with Wyatt while I get to sleep in! As I am laying in bed I hear them laughing in the other room. I love that they have that special time together and I love that I am sleeping in!!! Wyatt is growing up so fast and it is so fun to see what each day brings.

Wyatts first laugh with daddy!

I am learning

Wyatt is trying really hard to roll over these days! He has rolled from his tummy to his back a couple of times, but has not yet mastered back to tummy.
Wyatt does not love being on his tummy and has never wanted to sleep on his tummy so I try to give him some tummy time each day so that he can be comfortable and learn how to crawl one day!
He is holding his head up really strong and grunts around frustrated that he cannot move!

I think he is starting to get used to it a little. He is such a sweetie pie!

Resolutions

I have been thinking a lot about a new years resolution. Cory usually asks me what my resolution is at the beginning of the year and the last two years I have said " I don't know I will have to think about it." I then think about what I want to change in my life and decide something with good intention of keeping it. A resolution spills out of my mouth and then is forgotten about after the first week of not doing it. So this year there has been several things weighing on my mind and I feel that they are important to do.
Of course there is the idea that I will work out and put my new running shoes and workout clothes I got for Christmas to good use! Although this is my resolution most new years I have other things on my mind this year. I have been thinking a lot about knowledge and how important it is to me. Having a new son that is going to grow up and ask questions scares me and makes me worried that I won't have the answers to his many questions. I know, I know, people tell me that no one has all the answers but I mean worldly questions or questions about the religion that he is being brought up in, questions that I should have some answers to! So this year my plan is to learn a little more about what is going on in the world around me and when I hear about something going on somewhere in the world that I am not familiar with to look it up and become familiar with it. My plan is to learn more about the history and rituals of my religion and the bible in general so that I may have an answer or two not only for my son but also for me. So there it is, I am writing it down, saying it out loud, and making myself responsible for these resolutions. Wish me luck!

Growing up so fast!

Daddy is teaching little Wyatt to hold his bottle like a big boy.
