Little Eyes
There are little eyes upon you
And they're watching night and day.
There are little ears that quickly
Take in every word you say.
There are little hands all eager
To do anything you do;
And a little boy who's dreaming
Of the day he'll be like you.
You're the little angel's idol;
You're the wisest of the wise.
In his little mind about you
No suspicions ever rise.
He believes in you devoutly,
Holds all you say and do;
He will say and do, in your way
When he's grown up just like you.
There's a wide-eyed little boy
Who believes you're always right;
And his eyes are always open,
And he watches day and night.
You are setting an example
Every day in all you do;
For the little boy who's waiting
To grow up to be like you.

this morning asher said that when he grew up he was going to be just like daddy...and then i made the mistake of asking if he wanted to be like mama too...he said NO. i asked "why not" and he said..."because i don't like that".
this poem reminded me that no matter what he may say...he watches me!:)

there's a lot of truth to this poem...thank goodness when they get a little older they realize EVERYONE makes a mistake now and then...love the poem...nice to see the little faces that make Kimberly a "Nonnie"...very, very precious.

i love your heart brittni...i love you and miss you so.
Such beautiful big blue eyes,and he means buisness with those cookies.
Loved that poem Britt. That's a good one to put in my pocket to read over and over to keep reminding myself that I better be doing good things for my little one to see. As he's learning more and more words, I hear Rylan using phrases that I use. I've been safe so far :)
