My little boy

My little boy is now 20 months! Almost two years old. I cannot believe it. I don't even know where to begin on this little love bug. He is such an amazing little boy. He has just amazed Cory and I with everything he has done since the day he was born. I remember his birth like it was yesterday and have been feeling a little emotional about the thought of it and how much joy he has brought into our lives. I feel so blessed to be able to spend my time with Wyatt and watch him change and grow. Right now he is entering in the phase where I find myself having a full on conversation with him and it makes me smile. He has been talking really well for quit some time now but he is saying sentences now and asking questions and it is just really fun. I look and Cory and say "Did you just hear what he said!" We then just laugh or smile at each other! He tells us "come outside with me", "lets play catch", "where did daddy go?", "go to Brody's house", "watch mickey mouse", "Jiggies bit me", "daddy painting mommy", "What you doing?" "Want berry milk", "nakey boy mommy!" and they just keep coming! He loves balls still and I think always will! I love how excited he gets when he sees one of his balls on the floor. He acts like it had been missing for days or that it is the first time he has ever seen a ball! He treasures and loves each and everyone of his footballs, baseballs, marbles, bouncy balls, golf balls, and all the other ones in his collection. He has a love of bats and hitting anything he is allowed to hit. One of the reasons why our TV has to now be replaced! (Although that was on the do not hit list along with Jiggs!) He rides his cousin Brody's scooter like a pro now and loves to ride it! He has a new love of Mickey mouse and at the beginning of each cartoon when Mickey asks if the viewer wants to go to the mickey mouse club house, Wyatt enthusiastically sais Yeah! Wyatt is a little lover and gives the best little hugs and the best little kisses. He sometimes just comes up to me and gives me the biggest squeeze that just melts my heart. He is getting use to the water but doesn't love it at this point. He will not run through a sprinkler and if there is to much splashing in a baby pool he stays clear. He has just recently gone in the big pool for the summer and felt comfortable with someone holding him. He has now learned to jump off the step or the edge of the pool at nonnies house. He loves being around his cousin and usually follows them around doing what ever they are doing or saying! He is a very good eater and really eats well with a spoon and fork. When food is placed in front of him he is pretty focused like his daddy! He loves to help with anything Cory and I are doing. He loves to help with daddy in the garage or help with the lawn. He checks out where all the dog poop is and runs in to tell daddy that there is poop outside and he needs to come pick it up. Cory loves this!:) When I am cleaning around the house he loves to help. He loves to spray the windows with window cleaner and I give him a paper towel to wipe it up. He mostly just sprays though! I don't really mind until I see the cleaner forming a puddle!:) He has gone pee in the little potty several times now but is not consistent at it yet. He will say mommy peepee in the potty and run to the potty. This is usually only when he is a nakey boy because that is the rule! Although the other day he started crying and said peepee mommy come here. I went over by our bedroom door and he pointed to a wet spot and said "right there mommy!" I think he was trying to go on the potty but Brody scared him on the other side of the door and the pee just sprayed out. I had to laugh and say it was ok. He has a huge love of horses and loves to go out to grandma and grandpa rauch's house to see all the animals and ride the horses. I think he could spend all day on a horse! Every picture he sees of a horse he always sais "Grandpa's horse mommy." We love our little boy and love every minute he gives us!

The newest members of the family

We got these little Red Clawed Crabs about a week ago and we have all enjoyed watching them ever since! They started out just hiding in the cave but now spend most of their days above water on top of the plants or the filter. One of them has noticeably red claws and his name is Mister Grumpy Stripes named from Wyatt's favorite movie in the whole world, Madagascar! The other crab's claws aren't as red and the poor thing doesn't have a name yet. Daddy is in charge of his name and we have gotten a few names thrown out that get a laugh but don't stick! So, we will just wait and see what else he comes up with!

Earth Day!!!

In trying to make our family live a little greener when possible, I ran across this website and thought I would share. Yellowpagesgoesgreen.org I don't know if you all continue to use the yellow and white pages that are delivered to your door each year but know I haven't opened one in quiet some time. If you go to this website you can cancel your yearly delivery and in doing so save many resources in return. This website explains that over 500 million directories are being printed and delivered each year and in doing so:
  • 19 million trees need to be harvested
  • 1.6 billion pounds of paper are wasted
  • 7.2 million barrels of oil are misspent in their processing (not including the wasted gas used for their delivery to your doorstep)
  • 268,000 cubic yards of landfill are taken up
Just thought I would share an easy and free way to help out our beautiful mother earth today. Happy Earth Day!!!!

A perfect getaway!!

We went to Fossil Creek to celebrate Jessie's 28th B-day. It was a great day for celebration! The day started off a little cool but then turned perfect. We packed a picnic lunch and set up camp on a sandy beach near the creek. The creek was so clear with greens and blues showing through.

It didn't take long for the little kiddos clothes to start shedding off!
Exploring NatureLoving every minute!!!
Hanging with Papa!
The next day we went to a park near our hotel and did a little fishin!

Wyatt loved messing with his fishing pole.

Playing with the worms. ( Broders doesn't look to sure of these things!)

Wyatt's first time meeting a worm!!! (Cousin Asher makes them look so cool!!!)

There is always something to pout about!!!!!
Thanks Jess for a great weekend!!!! Happy Birthday my sweet sister!!!!

the infamous red sparkly shoes!!!

The red sparkly shoes that are so adored by journey and Brody and have caused many tears and heartaches when seen on others feet have now touched the feet of their newest admirer!

Tada!!!

I don't know what is happening these days but the "right" shoes can make or break our day!!! I never thought Wyatt would be so particular about his shoes but he is definitely following in his cousin's foot steps!
Oh how happy........ Oh wait it is time to throw a fit!!!!!
This is what Wyatt has been like the past couple of weeks! I am definitely not used to this and think someone snatched my sweet little boy and replaced him with mr. Fuss Guss!!!!

Or just maybe his new attitude might have something to do with the two molars that are popping through his gums at the moment. Hopefully those sparkly red shoes that we get to spend the day with will help us with our smile!!!!

A new Adventure

We were invited to tag along with auntie Hess to the Arizona puppet theater to watch the three little pigs. Never having been to this theater, I didn't know what to expect but thought it would be fun for little Wyatt. I started talking to Wyatt and Brody about the show a couple days in advanced and they seemed pretty excited about it.
Broders wasn't loving the atmosphere as we stepped into the theater and were surrounded by puppets. He decided to move under the bench even before the show started to hide from the big bad wolf. Luckily mommy was there so when the show started he was safe on her lap and started waving and saying "hi" to the little piggies. When the big bad wolf came out, Broders was a brave boy!Wyatt got to sit with auntie Hess and loved the entire show from start to finish. He was standing on her lap clapping and laughing just loving every minute.
The puppetere came out after the show to show the kids how the puppets worked.

We all had a really great time with this new adventure! I was so proud of Wyatt for doing so well and think we will go see Peter Rabbit showing next month. Thank you Aunti Hess for a great idea!

Happy St. Patty's Day!!!!

We decided to make our way out to Fountain Hills again this year to see the big fountain turn green! This year it was on Saturday so Daddy got to go!
It was a perfect day with music, booths, jumping castles, Rock walls, water, and of course some good brew!

Auntie Hess gave these glasses to Broders to wear and it was his mission to make sure they stayed on him the whole time! He thought he ruled the whole park!

We got to the park just in time to see the fountain turn green! We dashed out of the car and were all running to the park so we could enjoy it for as long as possible.

Beautiful weather, beautiful company, a beautiful atmosphere, and a beautiful rainbow!

Cheers to you and a happy St. Patty's day!!!
