Happy 1st Birthday Baby Boy!

Little Clay Boy, what a quick year it has been! You are a little lover bug and have brought so much into our lives! You are one year old today! Daddy made you oatmeal and eggies for breakfast and then you wanted to steal some of mommy's breakfast! You have turned into a great eater! I think you like to eat all the time :) You are eating mac and cheese, eggs, peaches, strawberries, cheese crisp, black beans, blueberries, you have not decided to love your veggies just yet but I think you will one of these days. You love dried fruit and crackers. There for a while I thought the only thing you were going to eat was crackers and the only reason I kept giving them to you was because you were happy while eating them! It gave mommy a little time of silence. :) So Crackers you ate! You love to kick balls and play with balls. You love to climb on anything that you can. You are getting up on more and more things now so it is a little scary for mommy. I have to watch you all the time. You are starting to play by yourself now for little periods of time and mommy really likes seeing you do this! You love to follow your brother around and try to take things away from him. Brother and cousin run from you and shut the door so you don't steal their superheros. You are starting to pull the door handles to open the doors now so that is fun for you! I think your most favorite thing to do is to be held by mommy. You are definitely a mommy's boy! I think I have held you most of this year of your life. :) You love to be outside playing and exploring. I am so excited to watch you grow and interact with your brother! I love just watching you two play. You will say momma every once in a while but aren't really talking yet. I think once you do start talking you are going to be a little funny boy! You crack me up with your faces and your sense of humor! You like to make mommy and daddy laugh. We love you so much little Clay and are so proud of the little boy that you are! Thank you for blessing this momma with you! Happy Birthday sweet Clay!

Happy Groundhog day! It looks like Spring is on it's way! (although you can't tell by todays weather! FREEZING!)

Today is a very important day for Wyatt. He is reciting his first memorized poem at school today. We have worked with him for several days and I think he is going to do great!

So, with my failed attempt to make goodies for the kiddos for valentines day, Wyatt found his paint brush and started digging for dinosaur bones.

He stood on a stool in the kitchen for a long time searching and searching for dinosaur bones. He gets so focused on what he is doing!

So, I guess my project turned out to be fun after all! I will let you know how round two goes! :)

When there is silence, you really need to wonder where Clay is!!!

The funny thing is, is that I didn't even care because I got 10 minutes of alone time without Clay crying at my feet wanting me to hold him! We just had a community tissue pile on the carpet for the rest of the day!

Happy six months my sweet little boy!

Wow, six months already! You are an amazing little boy Clay! You are sitting up pretty good now. You play with toys while you are sitting up but lose interest pretty fast unless you are tearing into some paper! You love to watch your brother jump around the house. It makes you smile! You really are a mommy's boy and watch me where ever I go. You don't like for me to leave your sight or you start to cry! I mean real crocodile tears! If you had your way, I would carry you every where I went, ALL day long! You are starting to eat your first baby food. You have tried bananas, pears, apples, and prunes. I think bananas are your favorite! You are such a sweet baby with such a happy smile. You like to talk a lot and love to hear yourself scream a happy scream. You like to imitate our sounds. Today you started to cough and then Wyatt coughed and you guys coughed back and forth to each other for a while just smiling at each other. It made my heart happy! You are sleeping with me at night but you are waking up every three hours at night. I don't know why you are doing that! :) It makes for a long night! Oh and an early morning since you are ready to play around 5:30! You are not yet crawling but want to really bad! You get so mad when you can't get to what you want to get! I don't think it will be that long until you figure it out! Then I am in trouble! You love our little dog Jigs and love to grab his hair. You weigh over 20 pounds now! You love to grab anything you can get your hands on and are a really strong boy! We love you so much little boy and you bring such happiness into out lives!
